If wishes were horses poor men would ride. Big Lies!!
Guess what poor men did when horses were everywhere?
Not ride! And, if you care to know what they did, I'll tell you at the end just wait.
yo yo yo Drounz in the building In my past life (4 months ago), I used to be a product designer (and still am, just jobless). I had these podcasts I usually listened to when I started as a designer and I loved it with all my broken heart. Today, I'd love to share that with you.
.News below: (Big Discount!!!! ₦1,675 to ₦500)
Praise is an amazing UX designer, I saw recently she is now a Software Engineer (her LinkedIn), and I’m happy for her!
Her podcast The 10 min of UX Podcast with Price UX. is the only podcast I will be referring you to today because, ngl (it means “not going to lie” for my 30+ people), as a growing designer back then, I consumed and learned a lot from her Podcast channel.
And one of the best was her series on design systems. She had episodes like 'What's a Design System,' 'Starting a Design System,' ohh, almost forgot the one about design systems and Slack, and her last-ever podcast was on design system resources.
It was and is a real gold mine then and now, very valuable stuff, for designers and even developers sef.
In conclusion unlike some people (Pearl), I would like to end with something interesting, something I use as an encouragement and I have even told Harrison before but she, just like Pearl has forgotten.
And I heard it from the BCP23 event. The person said:
“Your biggest competition is not that guy in a tech hub with 13k followers on Twitter but here in Nigeria with you, your biggest competition is that 17-year-old kid with free education and constant light in a first-world country where he or she has access to government funding.”
So when you choose to work on something, design, code, write, or manage a podcast like us at whatspodcasting, do it and do it with all your heart so you can match up to that guy. Because great things can come from little places no matter what!
The BCP23 event I heard this from is coming up again this year, as BCP24! I will tell you more.
Here is a podcast playlist link so you don't have to go back and forth just to listen to the podcast of the week.❤️💕
